Imagery and space are in the process of being eliminated in order that a haze of transcendental meanings be made to coalesce on the canvas. Swathes of hue and gestural brush marks are being orchestrated in order that artist and artwork reach an autonomous state of balanced expression. Burning orange, limpid grey, strips of pink and Turneresque yellow are vibrantly combined. In one of the works the making taped excisions cutting through a hovering oxide suggests a negation of the void, creating a sense of infinite regress. My role as the viewer is to be tuned in and then possibly glean an echo of this progressive state of being. This becomes a responsibility and a privilege; a process and a transformation."
